Composition

What I have learnt about Composition is that it is very important to set the mood and is what makes a scene very interesting to me. I have also learnt that composition has a certain tempo for example sad has a slow and smooth flow. What we have study so far is Christmas and making our own emotional songs. My favourite composition is Romance because I like the tempo and the instruments. Another reason is because I like the sort of words they say and the emotion they put into the songs.

Art work

In art we did some carving and I carved a self portrait of my self into a piece of wood.What our main focus was for art was a german artist called Kathe Kollwit. Kathe Kollwitz was an artist who loved children and always had messages related to the protection of the kids.

My Music Preformance

The song for my performance is called wade in your water by common kings. In my performance i was really happy because I got up and tried even though i didn't want to and I did well.The well I felt doing my performance was nervous because my legs and hands where shaking and I felt uncomfortable.My final grade was excellence.I could improve my performance by predicting in a bigger audience to build up confidence.

What we did on this work sheet we wrote down what the producer was trying to tell us in this seen and how was he trying to make us feel.The thing I found hard about this was how i was going to make my link and what was the directors purpose.

In the movie power of one, the director used  to long shot to make sergeant Borman walking to geel piet.

For example, sergeant borman stops and looks at geel piet while he is talking to someone. The director did this to show us that geel piet was in trouble.

It affects the audience by thinking geel piet might get beaten up or is going to die from sergeant borman. It makes us audience sad or maybe angry (maybe).

How technology has changed

Some ways technology has changed is how people travel because back in the days your would have to ride a horse but in our day you can just get in a car and drive down.Also back in the days communication was different and you would have to send a letter but now you can just messenger or Facebook and talk with other people around the world.

The way I think technology has changed how we live our lives and it is very helpful.It helps us talk,walk and see things we can't see with our own eyes.Like satellites they help us see whats out of space and how earth is a sphere and that we have gravity to hold us down.Technology helps us in many different ways.

Maori Music

What is Matariki?

Matariki is the Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as the Pleiades. It rises in mid-winter and for many Maori, it heralds the start of a new year. Matariki literally means the 'eyes of god' (mata ariki) or 'little eyes' (mata riki).
