Recount over learning term 1

Metaphor:Something that has like or as
Simile:A figure of speech or comparing something

On our first day we did games and we introduced ourselves
.We also learnt about haiku and creative writing.
We are now moving on to sensory writing.
The thing I found fun for me was creative writing because you are free and you can write what you want
and this is some of my writing.

I walk towards to my class as my stomach aches I see other kids walking and laughing with their friends.
I start to feel dizzy like I'm gonna faint ,I get closer and closer to my class the bell starts to ring it gets
louder and louder I can smell pizza as I walk pass the homec room I reach for a pole to help me stand up
but my hands start to slip the pole feels slippery my hand slips more and more every second as I struggle
to hold myself up then I finally just give up and I fall on the floor I can taste the dirt in my mouth from the
floor. Moments later I wake up in the hospital 2 days later…

  1. Well done, Peteli. I am glad that you enjoyed creative writing. Note that a simile is the language feature which uses like/as, not a metaphor. A metaphor compares two things by stating one is the same as the other, e.g., that girl is a snake. Impressed with your work thus far -- keep it up! :)

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
